Yoga Teacher Wen Yee Kok

my story.

Yoga first came into my life 18 years ago through physical poses (asanas), where my intention was to improve my ‘flexibility’ for cheerleading.

That was when I discovered yoga is not just a workout, but a work-in.

Since then, I live life as a ritual, led from the wisdom of yoga. To me, yoga is not just something we do – it’s a way of being, feeling and living, where we carry the values beyond the mat, weaving them into the vessels of everyday life.

A Free Practice for You

Here’s a 60-min Vinyasa flow that I have recorded just for you, to practise at your own pace. While the practice embodies the element of Fire (Agni), we are working towards sustaining the fire instead, without over-burning and exhausting ourselves.

A movement meditation that feeds and tends to your heartfire.

Heartfelt words from my regulars.

“I stumbled across Wen’s class by a twist of fate a couple of years ago & thanks to her, I completely rediscovered yoga. From the very first practice, I was mesmerised by Wen’s storytelling - each movement carried a history, a meaning that resonated with me. It all made perfect sense, from beginning to end - every movement was thoroughly crafted.

It was clear that Wen cared deeply about what she was sharing, using movement as a language to communicate her message. There aren’t many yoga teachers like her - truly passionate, caring, constantly evolving, and creating a space where everyone feels great about in their practice. Wen is truly creating magic on the mat.”

“I started practising with Wen about 6 months ago and from my very first session, I loved her teaching style. Since then, I’ve been going back almost every week. Wen’s class is unique and you are practising with intention. Whether it is a mantra, intention, working with the seasons or an area of focus, she always brings more meaning to the class.

Someone once called Wen ‘a balm for your soul’ and I couldn’t agree more. Every time I finish class, I feel a load has been lifted. Lift is a little lighter and brighter with Wen.”

“Wen’s classes have got me through some of my toughest days, showing me I am stronger and more able than I sometimes think I am.

One of my favourite things I’ve taken from Wen’s class was a time we were using straps with metal buckles, and there was focus on how we placed the straps down and picked them up gently and with grace - emphasising the importance of intention, mindfulness and caring for everything around us, rather than constantly rushing from one thing to the next. This is a great example of something I’ve been able to take off the mat and into my life and why Wen’s approach is so special!”

Mindful Art

My yoga practice extends beyond the mat and into the realm of creativity, where I explore mindful art and craft-making as a form of self-expression and meditation.
